MEET STEPHANIE
OWNER OF SLP + LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi! I’m Steph, Owner of SLP and lover of life’s most precious moments. I have been a Chicago based wedding photographer for 11 years and there is truly nothing more important and meaningful to my heart than telling the real and honest story of you. Your heart, your people, your forever moments.
I live with my sweet husband (Mitch!) downtown in West Loop, Chicago, which has been very helpful for knowing the ins and outs of the city and allows me to offer exclusive and fun locations to our couples.
In my free time, you can find me exploring new Chicago restaurants with Mitch, walking along the lakefront, or in fun spots around the city with our group of friends. You will also find me traveling to Europe, NYC, Scottsdale, or Coronado every chance I get!
I also love spending time with our wonderful families. Mitch and I are fully embracing our auntie and uncle season of life as we enjoy all 6 of our favorite kiddos!
Outside of work I spend my time with people who really challenge me to dive deeper into life and ask the hard questions. I am very growth oriented and deeply value intentionally working on myself and growing in my faith in God.
In my off season (winter) I am also in a book club! Being growth-oriented, I love the accountability to continue reading and spending cozy winter nights in with wine and sweet friends.

Our Purpose
MY HEART BEHIND THE ART
For as long as I can remember, I have found a deep purpose in my gifts with the art + creativity. I am energized by the boundless opportunities and ideas that come from the arts and the ways that it can bring people together. For a while, I also really loved to write. I found a lot of power in story telling and the way that a well-told story can move peoples’ hearts. Photography has grown to be my favorite avenue in which I can best merge these passions. I love to tell stories - your stories - through the lens in which I see them.
Life throws a lot at us; much of which is unexpected. I’ve seen our clients go through tremendous ups and downs, many of which genuinely make our storytelling priceless to them and their loved ones. Being able to give you back your memories in such a way where you’ll never forget how you felt sharing your sweetest moments with your people is the ultimate treasure, right? This is my whole heart and I am elated to be on this journey with you and to tell your story in a way where it will be remembered for generations to come.

MEET MITCH
SLP MANAGER / Print Production
Mitchell is my sweet husband! I absolutely love having him as part of our SLP team as well. Mitch oversees some of the backend of the business and he also runs our entire in-house print production. He is so thorough in ensuring that every print we ship out is well protected + in perfect condition. Working together has allowed us to dream big dreams and spend even more time together, so truly nothing makes my heart happier!
Outside of working together, we love exploring restaurants in Chicago. Mitch also loves to play golf, and he’s a major coffee connoisseur! He even roasts his own coffee beans.

Audrey has been with the SLP team for 6 years and she is so incredibly talented!
Aside from being an incredibly talented photographer, Audrey also loves doing acro yoga in her free time and exploring Chicago with friends.

Caleb is a wonderful photographer who moved from Indianapolis to shoot with us in Chicago! Since starting his journey with photography 9 years ago, Caleb has traveled all over the world working on photo + video projects.
Caleb lives in Wrigley and loves shooting all over the city. In his free time, Caleb loves to read, workout, + visit new restaurants with friends around the city.

Bri is the sweet face behind many of the emails that are sent to you throughout your wedding planning process with us! She keeps on top of all the little tasks that would otherwise take my time + attention away from our couples. She is such a crucial part of why we are able to love + serve our couples the way that we do!
