MEET STEPHANIE
OWNER OF SLP + LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi hi!! I’m Steph, Owner of SLP + lover of life’s most precious moments!! I started my business when I was 15 (!!!!) and quite literally had no idea what I was doing. :-) I started out photographing senior portraits, families, + engagement sessions, which soon led to shooting my first wedding when I was 18. I absolutely fell in love!!! From there, I had to decide if I was going to go off to college or pursue photography full-time. Naturally, I did both (haha).
Over those 4 years away studying at Hope College in Michigan, I traveled home to Chicago every weekend to continue growing my reputation + brand. SLP began to blow up (in the best way!!) + I started to build a team to take on more clients. As soon as I graduated I was able to go full time!!
Now, 11 years later, I am 26 + quite literally living my dream!! I live in Lincoln Park, Chicago + love knowing the ins and outs of the city to offer exclusive + fun locations to our couples.
In my free time, you can find me exploring new Chicago restaurants with my sweet fiancé (Mitchell!!) + bopping around the city with our amazing group of friends (they’re actually the best ever).
I also love taking day trips out to NW Indiana where my sister + her husband live with my 2 nieces + newborn nephew!! My mom + sister are my best friends + I love the tremendous joy these kiddos bring to our family. The drive out is always worth it!!
On Wednesday nights I spend my time at Bible Study with an awesome group of girls who really challenge me to dive deeper into life + ask the hard questions. I am very growth oriented + deeply enjoy intentionally working on myself + growing in my faith.
In my off season (winter) I am also in a book club (lol)!! Being growth-oriented, I love the accountability to continue reading + spending cozy winter nights in with wine + sweet friends.

THE HEART BEHIND THE ART
For as long as I can remember, I have found a deep purpose in my gift with the arts + creativity. I am energized by the boundless opportunities + ideas that come from the arts + the ways that it can bring people together. For a while, I also really loved to write. I found a lot of power in story telling + the way that a well-told story can move peoples’ hearts. Photography has grown to be my favorite avenue in which I can best merge these passions. I love to tell stories - YOUR stories - through the lens that I see them.
Life throws a lot at us; much of which is unexpected. I’ve seen our clients go through tremendous ups and downs, many of which genuinely make our storytelling priceless to them. Being able to give you back your memories in such a way where you’ll never forget how you felt sharing your sweetest moments with your people… is the ultimate treasure, right? This is my whole heart + I am elated to be on this journey with you + to tell your story in a way where it will be remembered for generations to come. Let’s dive in!

Sweet Hannah: my sanity!! Hannah holds down the fort - quite literally - while I am running around photographing you or on calls planning your best day ever!! Hannah is constantly working to improve our systems to best serve our clients in the long run + she is my greatest source of support.
In her free time, Hannah loves cooking, spending time with her husband + 2 dogs, or reading a good book!

Amy’s love for photography is rooted in capturing real, authentic moments. What started as a hobby has blossomed into her love of capturing couples, families + individuals in a way that feels true to her subjects! Amy is originally from Seattle, WA, but has been living in Lincoln Park for 6 years!
When she is not behind the lens, you can find Amy hanging out with her sweet rescue dog, Addison, sipping coffee, trying out new recipes, volunteering as an advocate, + spending quality time with the people she cherishes most!
CALEB
SLP SECOND SHOOTER

Caleb is an awesome photographer who moved from Indianapolis to shoot with us in Chicago! Since starting his journey with photography 9 years ago, Caleb has traveled all over the world working on photo + video projects!
Caleb lives in Wrigley and loves shooting all over the city. In his free time, Caleb loves to read, workout, + visit new restaurants with friends around the city.

Bri is the sweet face behind many of the emails that are sent to you throughout your wedding planning phase!! She keeps on top of all the little tasks that would otherwise take my time + attention away from our couples. She is such a crucial part of why we are able to serve you all the way that we do!!
